Hosted at Pages Bookshop, Project ABC brings young creators, families, and the community together for a fun, safe, and inspiring celebration.

Here's what you can look forward to:

• 🎤 Youth Performances — Talented young performers will take the stage to showcase their creativity, whether through music, singing, poetry, dance, comedy, or other forms of expression.

• 🌟 Special Guests — Keep an eye out! We may have a few exciting guests stopping by to encourage and inspire our young creators.

• 🎨 Creative Activities — Project ABC is about more than watching a show. Young attendees will have opportunities to explore, create, participate, and connect.

• 📚 Pages Bookshop Experience — Explore the bookstore, discover new stories, and experience one of Detroit's creative community spaces.

• 🎧 Music & Good Vibes — Fun, family-friendly music and an exciting atmosphere from beginning to end.

• 🍿 Food & Snacks — Snacks and refreshments will be available for attendees to enjoy.

• 🛍️ Project ABC Merchandise — Exclusive Project ABC merchandise may be available while supplies last.

• 🤝 Community — Meet other young creators, families, performers, and community members who believe in supporting Detroit's next generation.

Why?

We created Project ABC because we believe Detroit's young people deserve more opportunities to be seen, heard, celebrated, and inspired.

Detroit is full of talented kids.

There are young singers, dancers, artists, poets, writers, musicians, entrepreneurs, creators, and dreamers all across our city. But talent needs more than applause—it needs opportunity, encouragement, safe spaces, and people willing to believe in it.

That's where Project ABC comes in.

Through Project ABC, we want to create a space where young people can:

• 🌟 Build confidence

• 📚 Be inspired

• 💛 Feel supported by their community

This isn't about finding the "best" kid in the room.

It's about giving young people the opportunity to discover what they're capable of.

Maybe this is someone's first time performing.

Maybe it's someone's first time sharing their art with an audience.

Maybe it's the moment a young person realizes:

"Wait... I actually can do this."

And maybe years from now, we'll look back and say:

"They performed at Project ABC before the world knew their name."

Rules & Regulations

To ensure that Project ABC remains safe, fun, and welcoming for all young people and families, the following rules will apply:

1. Parent & Guardian Expectations

Young attendees may be required to attend with a parent or guardian depending on their age. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event when required.

2. Safe & Respectful Behavior

All attendees are expected to treat performers, other children, parents, volunteers, staff, and Pages Bookshop with kindness and respect.

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, fighting, or intentionally disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

3. Prohibited Items

Alcohol, drugs, vapes, smoking products, weapons, and other prohibited items are not permitted at Project ABC.

4. Respect the Performers

Every performer deserves a supportive audience.

Booing, intentionally interrupting performances, throwing objects, or attempting to embarrass a performer is prohibited.

5. Safety

Attendees must follow instructions from parents, guardians, event staff, and volunteers. Unsafe behavior, including pushing, running in restricted areas, or damaging property, may result in removal from the event.

6. Respect the Venue

Project ABC is proudly hosted at Pages Bookshop. Please respect the books, merchandise, furniture, equipment, and all areas of the bookstore.

7. Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during the event for promotional and community purposes. Parents or guardians should contact event organizers if they have questions regarding photography or media involving their child.

8. Tickets & Refunds

Unless otherwise stated, tickets are non-refundable. Event organizers reserve the right to remove attendees whose behavior creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.
