Karis Robinson-Larsosa
Born on July 9, 2006, Karis Robinson-Larsosa is more than just a name — it’s sparked a movement. As a musical artist and social media creator with a following of over 200,000 under the moniker HersheKissis, Karis has spent nearly a decade shaping a platform rooted in self-expression, creativity, and empowerment. What began as a young girl’s desire to find her voice quickly transformed into a digital space where stories are told through dance, lip syncs, videos, and original reels. Inspired by her mom's starting mantra “three is better than one,” HersheKissis grew from a spark of courage into a vibrant community, showing what happens when authenticity meets artistry.
The true breakthrough came in 2020, a year when the world’s attention was fixed on issues of justice and representation. As voices rose in the wake of George Floyd’s and Breonna Taylor’s killings, HersheKissis became a beacon of light for Black youth seeking role models who reflected their strength, resilience, and beauty. The page’s mission has always been clear: to uplift and inspire Black girls and Black youth everywhere. With content that blends entertainment and empowerment, HersheKissis continues to stand as a symbol of hope, joy, and unapologetic self-expression in a world that needs it most.
Now, after years of shaping HersheKissis into a platform of influence, Karis is branching out to establish her own brand as KueenSosa. While HersheKissis continues to evolve into political and social spaces, her journey as KueenSosa reflects something deeply personal — the unveiling of her essence as an artist, visionary, and prophetess. Karis has always been in love with music, with songwriting, and with the power of storytelling since she was a youngin'. To her, believing in herself--and you believing in yourself--has always meant believing in God. As John 14:13–14 declares, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” That promise fuels her art, her faith, and her determination to create a space where anything is possible.
KueenKRob embodies the spirit of Karis — the kueen, the visionary, the revolutionary, the soft-yet-powerful feminine force, the gangster, the mastermind, and the fundraiser who dares to build something new! Drawing inspiration from legends like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, and Minnie Riperton, her work blends artistry with activism, spirituality with soul, and tenderness with revolution. Through her new initiative, Nexodus, she aims to build a living blueprint — a city of performers, Detroit youth, and changemakers who rise together to transform culture. Beyond artistry, Karis was also a valedictorian of Marygrove High School, is a student at Wayne State University, a co-owner of Pages Bookshop on Grand River Avenue, and the recipient of over $400,000 in scholarships, including recognition as first runner-up in the Detroit Pistons Black History Month scholarship competition. But at the core, her mission is simple: to breathe life into people, to shake the world, and to leave behind a legacy of empowerment for the next generation of Black, Detroit youth.
