Nexodus began as the idea for a streamer group — nothing more, nothing less. What started as seven creators coming together to share laughs, games, and culture has since grown into a movement. The Founding Figures represent the blueprint of that vision: a family of streamers who turned an idea into a community, and a community into a legacy.
Group Identity
What unites us as the 7 Streamers isn’t just content — it’s friendship. None of us were friends before Nexodus. It started with Maya, who introduced Sean. From there, Sean introduced Kirk, who knew Mar. Dana was already streaming. Carly came in through Maya. And slowly but surely, this idea grew into a circle of seven.
The vision was simple: what if streamers in Detroit, who weren’t getting enough reach on their own, came together? What if we built something bigger than ourselves? That’s how Nexodus was born.
We’re a family of creators who thrive on expressing ourselves and tapping into what Gen Z is really talking about. Streaming is just one part of what we do. Together, our skills and passions stretch across:
Gaming & Streaming (Roblox, Mario Kart, basketball games, talking streams, Q&As)
Creative Media (video editing, video recording, Instagram stories, marketing, networking)
Entertainment & Culture (comedy, parodying movies, fashion, modeling, natural hair, cooking, music)
Community & Events (event planning, collaborative streams, marathons, release parties, New Year’s parties, speed dating, live shows)
Athletics & Lifestyle (basketball, weightlifting, fitness, day-in-the-life content)
At the core, we just love making things. From throwing on a fit to shooting a skit, from gaming all night to planning events that bring people together — Nexodus is where friendship meets creativity.
Why We’re the Blueprint
We built this. Us. Brick by brick. And we’ll be damned if we let anybody tear it down just because they don’t like the way another person talks. (Shoutout to Franklin Saint — Snowfall reference, y’all know the line.)
Nexodus is rocking because of us. We’re the reason it’s moving, the reason it’s growing. We’ve built a whole Discord community that anyone can join, and we’re the overarching vision behind it all. Every founding figure has their own role, and together we keep this thing alive.
We don’t just stream — we organize. We have a code of conduct. We all agreed to it. We meet every third Sunday of the month, and sometimes we even record those meetings so the world can see how seriously we take this.
That’s why we’re the blueprint. Because we’re not just here for clout. We’re here to build something real — something that shines a spotlight on young Black Detroit creators who deserve to be seen, recognized, and respected. Nexodus is proof that friendship, vision, and discipline can create something that lasts.
What Sets Us Apart
What makes Nexodus different from other collectives is simple: we started at the bottom, together. None of us came in as high-scale creators with millions of followers. We came in with vision, hunger, and the belief that if we grew together, we could build something powerful from scratch.
Unlike AMP or Beta Squad — groups formed by already-established names — Nexodus is built on the idea of creating a platform where anybody can grow. Nobody outside of us can ever say they’re a founding figure, because we’re the ones who laid the foundation. But anybody can be part of this movement. That’s the difference.
Nexodus is Detroit-based, built specifically with our city in mind. We want to see what happens when Detroit youth — especially Black youth — come together, put their creativity on the table, and collaborate instead of competing. We’re here to prove that if we combine our talents, our energy, and our drive, we can build something just as big as the top streaming groups in the world.
